It's a Love Hate Relationship

Well by now every 25-50 year old female knows that Pinterest is the best thing since... well, facebook. However I must admit with this new found love I find myself scrolling fast to get away from some deadly pins. Let me show you some examples of the pins I speak of...

I mean really... what is an almost bride with no will-power supposed to do when she catches a glimpse of these delicious treats! I need to start following some health food pinners.
The sweet tooth will not win today, meanwhile, I'm drooling everywhere. Are you drooling?

Happy Thursday folks. See you tomorrow for a Happy Friday post!

Lost, but not forgotten.

Oh hey, it's me. The long lost blogger. I wish I could say that I have thousands of good excuses as to why I have been absent but I will just conclude that basically life got in the way. Oh and I am planning a wedding that is a 58 short days away.

Lots has happened since I wrote last and I figured I'd link up with Lauren From My Grey Desk for High Five for Friday to tell you about it. Although since I have left you in the dark for so long, I'll go for a list of ten instead of five.
Here we go...

10. I had one of my wedding showers. It was absolutely beautiful. Brandon's family did such a wonderful job putting on the event. I am so grateful to be welcomed into such a wonderful loving family.
Me opening some of my wonderful gifts!
9. I got to spend lots of time with by best friend Kaitlyn that was in town from Philly. Even better I convinced her to stay an extra week, what an added bonus!
Kait and her cute new little FIAT.
8. I participated in the Ride for Roswell. Thanks to friends and family donations I was able to raise over $400 and I rode 46 miles in memory of friends and family that have had life cut too short by cancer.

7. I got to watch my sister run her third half marathon. She ran the 50 Yard Finish which finished on the 50 Yard line of the Buffalo Bills stadium. What an awesome experience for her. She inspires me daily.

6. I don't get to fit in as much family time as I would like but when I do I certainly try to get as most time as possible with my little niece Dellah. She turns 1 next week. She is so sweet...

5. Eating clean. The soon-to-be hubby and I are trying to focus on our diet a little more especially with the upcoming special day. We have a vegetable garden we have been working on that is starting to produce some good stuff. We have used some of our bridal shower gifts to help make the "healthy eating" a little easier. I still won't pass up a donut though.

4. Brandon's sister was in town with his two nephews. Liam is three and baby Ethan is about 6 months. It was great to spend time playing with them since we don't get to see them too often.
Brandon and Liam on the teeter-tauter at the Clarence fire works!
Playing Mom- Disregard my creepy face!
3. Other great happenings...

Tie-die Roses from by hubby, Giant 4th of July cookie cake, and a note left on my white board at work after a day off.
2.  Spending time with my favorite guy and my favorite girl...
And some college friends, pool side!

1. And just some every day stuff that makes my life "Refreshing"...

My beautiful Starbucks drawing. Running. My tuckered out Pup. And Power Yoga <3.
So now you are all caught up. Have a happy Friday Ya'll!

High Five for Friday

Once again I am linking up with Lauren from From My Grey Desk to do a little high fiving for Friday!

Lets count down from five to one today. Although they are in no particular order but hey, lets mix it up a little!

5. It is a long holiday weekend which means I have FOUR straight days off of work. I don't know what I am going to do with myself but I certainly know I am going to enjoy it! Oh and I am going to have a hot-dog, because that is tradition! Thank goodness for Memorial Day and hot diggity dogs!
Yumm-o!
4. Next weekend we will be on our way to Pittsburgh for a good friends wedding! I can't wait to see Peter and Tarah tie the knot and also have a little get-a-way with the soon-to-be hubby to such an awesome city.
More to come on that soon!
Pittsburgh
3. This weekend we will celebrate my big brother(and only brother's) 30th Birthday! WOOo HOo.
My Brother and I are much closer now that we are grown. Although we still enjoy putting each other in head locks and giving each other Indian brush burns. Somethings never get old   ;)

Happy Birthday Brother, Love you.
2. This week has been extra special for me because my little sister (in-law) is back home from her first year in college! I missed her tons. She is my workout buddy and we have fun together just doing nothing. It's great to have her back home!
Me & Nee
1. And last but certainly not least today marks 100 days until I say "I Do"  to my man. Wedding planning is definitely picking up and things are starting to get hectic which equals one anxious ball of Mallory. But he is my rock and so supportive. Before we know it we will be married and sitting on a beach celebrating to our new life together.

One of our many beautiful engagement photos!
I'll be back tomorrow to make up for Work it out Wednesday! Have a very happy Friday friends!

Thankful Thursday's

A TRUE best friend...
is hard to come by.

That is why today I want to highlight how thankful and blessed I feel to have a true Best Friend.
Mrs. Kaitlyn Phillips (Gang Norelco).

Kaitlyn and I met in college and it wasn't long before we were instant friends. Kaitlyn is everything you could ask for in a friend, supportive, fun, trusting, encouraging and most of all, she understands me.

Kaitlyn has been the person in my life who keeps me going, keeps me smiling and is a constant reminder as to why I/we do the things we do.

BFF.
My life is better because she is in it and I love being able to share life's best (and worst) moments with her.

Although we now live over six hours apart, a day doesn't go by that we aren't in contact, making each other laugh or keeping each other sane.

She is my lady rock and today, and every day, I am so thankful for her.

Love you Kaitlyn, Boop.

Who are you thankful for today? Do you ever tell your best friend how much you appreciate them? Today is a great day to do that.

Have a wonderful Thursday all!

I'll be back tomorrow for "High Five for Friday" and I'll post Wednesdays post this Saturday. (Oops)
Thanks blog friends!

Peace. Love. Prosperity.

Try it out Tuesday

Good morning lovelies!
We made it through Monday! My work day was crazy but the evening was filled with fun wedding planning with my soon to be mother-in-law and sister-in-law so no complaints there!

So here we are, HELLOOOO Tuesday!

Today is "Try it out Tuesday"
I am going to highlight one of my favorite nail products Essie's "No Chip Ahead"
I purchased mine at Target but it is sold anywhere  you can find Essie Products, about $7.99
I used to be a big fan of the gel nails. It's not that I don't like the look and the last but I hate the way my nails feel after it has all peeled off. Because I have such delicate nails I have to be careful with what I put on and pull off.

This works great. You put your polish on as you wish and then use the 'No Chips Ahead' as a top coat. It will help your manicure last at least 2 or three days longer than usual. Wah la, genius.

Let me know if you guys have success with this product or if you have any other product suggestions that do a similar job!

Make it a great day!

Mad About Monday

Happy Monday Friends!
I'm happy to introduce you to "Mad About Monday" where I talk about my weekend and try and give some encouragement for the upcoming week. Let's dive in.

Friday night my organization juices were flowing. I spent some time (actually a lot of time) at Target and HomeGoods plotting my soon to be "Primp Station." Although our apartment is huge it lacks space in the bathroom. Even having two people in there is over crowded and that is if you are standing still. With my new set up I can get ready outside of the bathroom to allow for an easier morning flow.
Here is what I did...

Cubbie, lap and Mirror/ Target
I also decided it was time to get my jewelry under control. This cork board trick works like a charm...
It's so nice to be able to see  your options!
Saturday started out with my usual workout followed by lunch downtown with some old friends. It's always nice to catch up! It was a beautiful day and I ended the afternoon taking the pup to Delaware Park for a nice long walk.
Kaya girl was hot!
Sunday was relaxing, after church I did some gardening and then my best friend Jill and I went to the beach for the first time this year. It is rare to be on a beach on May 20th  in Buffalo. So we lived it up- it was beautiful!
Some of my beautiful flowers!

Welcome to the beach... ahh drinks in the sand!

We ended our Sunday with a cookout with friends! What a great way to end the weekend.
So here we are, on to Monday.Let's make it a great day, shall we?

Cheers!

High Five for Friday

I'm linking up with Lauren from "From my Grey Desk" For this weeks, High Five For Friday! Check out her link to read what it is all about!

Here are my five favorite things for this week:

1. I am in L.O.V.E with my  new iphone case. It replaced a very fashionable one from JCrew that was just not made to handle the wear and tear that I impose on these things. This one is a hard case, so very durable and just so fresh!

Mac Store/ $30
2. La Croix Sparkling Coconut Water. Literally tastes like the beach in your mouth. So amazing. You must try!
Target. YUM!

3. Happy Hour with one of my favorite people! Oh how we laughed! It is always wonderful to catch-up with old friends over some cold drinks!

Me and Mandy at the Irishman
4. My little sister (in-law) is playing in the final four for college lacrosse today in New Jersey for SUNY Cortland. I could not be more proud of her and that team. They work so hard and they totally deserve this! Kick some but this weekend Court!
Court is the little blonde with the ball showing those girls whats up!

I hope you all have a great Friday and a fabulous weekend!

Peace. Love. Prosperity.
